Wastewater Treatment from Galvanization Industry with Zinc recovery

The resistance of steel to corrosion is obtained with a number industrial processes based on Zn galvanization. However, all these methods bear relatively high price tag due the cost Zinc plates and electrolytes as well formation hazardous wastewaters containing metals acids. Wastewaters from galvanization may be grouped into two main types: Mix Rinse Water (MRW) Spent Pickling Solutions (SPS). Ordinarily, waters are mixed sent for treatment by precipitation. As result large volumes galvanic sludge formed, iron, calcium, sulphates small quantity zinc (<20 %), which makes recovery not profitable. experimental results presented in this article show that it possible use coagulant treat process spent pickling solution (SPS) process, kept separated added sodium hydroxide. This obtaining precipitates contents higher than 40%, brings further advantage making
